So far…

Today is Guru Purnima. This is a festival celebrated to pay their respects to their teachers and express their gratitude. Irrespective of their religions, Indians & Nepalese celebrate this day by thanking their teachers who are also referred to as Gurus.
Although I may be a good trainer/coach… I wish to be a much better student, and I am blessed to learn valuable lessons from my training/coaching participants across age groups, verticals, and roles. Here is a few learning that I have gathered…
The one important thing I have learned over the years is the difference between taking a focused approach towards achieving your different goals and taking one’s self seriously.
As per my belief, the first is imperative and the second is disastrous. Yeah! People have to take you seriously, I do get it. But at the end of the day, we’re all a bunch of ants trying to chase the same/similar things. So relax!
I never said I wanted a ‘happy’ life but an interesting one. My journey through life has led me through both light and dark places, and it’s because of those experiences that I have learned how to work through my weaknesses and to help others do the same.
From the separation and loss of the loved ones, I have learned a lot. I have become strong and resilient, as is the case of almost every human being exposed to life and to the world.
What I have learned is that a whole lot of people with degrees and loads of work experience don’t know much in the real sense…perhaps due to their limited ‘horse-blinds’ approach and a lot of people with no degrees are brilliant.
Past success is no guarantee of future success. Regardless of your age, you can make better choices at the moment. We don’t even know how strong we are until we are forced to bring that hidden strength forward. Small decisions – about how you eat, move, and sleep each day – count more than you think.
I have learned so many things from my parents about the right upbringing, the right values, value for money, value for elders, for family members.
My father once said that “When you find yourself in a situation where everyone looks at each other, it’s time for you to lead, but just be human! They also have families, bills to pay, and their own issues. Don’t always make everything about yourself only.”
Now… a few lines on the skills & talents that I wish to achieve…
I have a deep desire to learn the art of training dolphins, master the skill of an archer, self -drive a speedboat… Yes!!! All in this life itself.
Please help me find my new Gurus. Maybe one of them is already reading this article.
